Madonna bringing The Celebration Tour to Austin for only second stop since 1985
After almost four decades, Austin's blond ambitions have paid off.
Global pop icon Madonna on Tuesday announced dates for her Celebration tour. It arrives in Austin on September 21 with a show at the Moody Center. This appears to be Madonna's first Austin tour stop since a 1985 concert at the Frank Erwin Center on her debut Virgin Tour.
The pop superstar announced the new tour dates with a racy video homage to her 1990 film "Truth or Dare" featuring a star-studded cast that includes Amy Schumer, Jack Black, Eric Andre, Diplo, Lil Wayne and more.
The Celebration tour will feature hits from the "Vogue" queen's 40-year career, including 38 songs that ranked in the Billboard Hot 100.
