El Arroyo paid homage to Donald Trump’s Austin visit with a McConaughey joke

What, you thought one of the funniest signs in Austin would just let Donald Trump’s Austin campaign stop go unnoticed? El Arroyo, the downtown Austin Tex-Mex restaurant known for its witty, oft-topical marquee, trotted out just the right combination of black block letters Tuesday.

Remember, when in doubt: Matthew McConaughey.

The sign, posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page, reads “McConaughey 2016/Make America Alright Again.” This is not the first time the El Arroyo sign has weighed in on the 2016 presidential election. (And Longhorns football. And Brexit. And Beyonce.) Follow live coverage of Trump’s visit to Austin.
