Most of Austin still has hard feelings about Lyft and Uber’s decision to pull their services out of the city. But Shaquille O’ Neal’s appearance in Lyft’s latest promotional video might help everyone feel a little more forgiving — if just for a moment.

The former NBA star donned several wigs, accents and personas in the video, released Wednesday, as he picked up passengers around Atlanta. He made subtle and not-so-subtle references to his film career and basketball fame as he joked with a number of people who somehow didn’t recognize him. Though I’m not sure how that’s even possible when the man stands at 7 feet 1 inch tall and is the star in the legendary film “Kazaam.”

And if you’re still struggling to find a way around, check out some alternative apps Austinites seem to be using in place of the ride-hailing moguls.
